Too early for global exit strategy - Saudi chief

Muhammad Al-Jasser, the governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), warned on Sunday that the global economy is not yet ready for the withdrawal of the fiscal and monetary stimulus measures implemented at the height of the financial crisis.

"The activation of stimulus exit strategies is still too early as it needs good timing and gradualism during the next few months," he said in a speech to the Kuwait Financial Forum. He explained that the economy was still in the grips of recession
