Denmark raises rates

The Nationall Bank of Denmark lifted its key rate by 10 basis points on Friday in a bid to support the krone.

The central bank raised its lending rate and interest rate for certificates of deposit from 4.25% to 4.35%. Its discount rate and exchange rate on current accounts remained at 4%.

Justifying the move, the central bank said that since August the spread between the lending rate and the European Central Bank's marginal rate has fallen by between 15 and 20 basis points as a result of greater
