Uruguayan economy contracts 1.8% July-Sept

Uruguay's economy fell 1.8% between July and September 2000 compared to the same period last year, the central bank said Friday. Uruguay's economy fell 1.3% between January and September, with a tumble of 2.9% between April and June offsetting a gain of 0.6% in January to March, the bank said.
